Bio

Sayid was born and raised in Iraq. He is the son of a "war hero". He studied at Cairo University and later joined the Iraqi Republican Guard as a communications officer. His group was captured and, since he had such a good grasp of English, he was persuaded into assisting the Americans as a torturer. During this time he met a girl from his childhood, Nadia, who had always teased him. She was under investigation once again for helping Shiite radicals. He, however, was determined to set her free and shot a higher-ranking officer (and himself) in order to do it.

For seven years he searched for her and, after helping to locate a suspected terrorist cell in Sydney, Australia, he was told Nadia was alive and in Los Angeles. He would have boarded another flight, but Sayid insisted on staying behind to arrange a proper burial for the man he tracked down- his old college roommate. Now he is stuck on the Island with the other survivors for better or for worse.

Until the helicopter and the freighter arrived...

Generally Sayid is a man of few words, but when he has something to say it is something important. He prefers to take action, but this does not mean he jumps into things without planning. Years of military training have instilled that in him. He has more of a sense of humor than people give him credit for- it just tends to be more on the sarcastic side. He will lie if he has to- he will do whatever it takes to assist the situation.

Overall he has a romantic. Despite the training and his calm, collected mannerisms, he tends to think with his heart when it comes to those close to him. A few instances would be his attachment to his lovers, despite circumstances, and his issues with Jack's decision to burn all the bodies aboard the plane without regards to their own personal wishes.

Generally Sayid is played during Season 4 given otherwise it would be quite tricky for him to actually have an internet connection. He has gotten off the island and has not returned as of yet.

sixwordstories - Sayid is played current in the Oceanic Six 'verse. However, since these are hardly serious RP and for fun he can flip-flop between seasons. I'll make it as clear as possible. :)
